Destination - Whitsundays

Sunrise at Mt Oldfield - view east to Maher and Shaw Islands, Lindeman IslandThe Whitsundays is the jewel in the crown of Queensland. The Whitsundays has 74 islands within its group. Only a handful of the islands are inhabited, leaving plenty of secluded sandy beaches awaiting your footprints; bushwalks in unspoilt National Parks and pristine coral reefs just waiting to be admired.

Whitehaven Beach, Whitsunday IslandBareboat chartering has long since been the best way to see the Whitsundays, allowing you to get around at your own pace among the islands and many anchorages. Bareboat chartering means ‘You are the skipper and your friends are the crew’, and you're all free spirits bound only by your imagination, not your schedule.

The Whitsundays has long been appreciated for its many safe anchorages, each within easy sailing distance of the next. Finding refuge from prevailing winds and protection from any kind of weather is not a problem in the Whitsundays.

View to Mandalay Point, Airlie Beach Anyone for a game of tennis? If you wish to jet ski/water ski, play golf, go for a horse ride along the beach, have a café latte or enjoy fine dining in a five star restaurant, you may do many of these activities and others provided at the island resorts throughout the Whitsundays. You're welcome to anchor at the resorts (for a minimal fee) and go ashore to use their facilities.

Hardy Reef, Great Barrier ReefThe entire Whitsundays cruising area is in protected waters as it's surrounded by the outer reef providing protection from the open seas. September is a very special time of year as whales are often seen breaching and providing spectacular performances often close to your cruiser...what an honour to be part of nature at play.
